Mini Golf Windmill
No this isn't one of those windmills you putt through at the mini-golf, but it is at Kimball Farms miniature golf course in Westford, MA. What a great place and the ice cream is to die for. Enjoy.

I crouched down near these flowers to frame the rowboats on the water at the pond in Central Park, NY. Enjoy.

Even an Ant has to get a drink of water every now and then. It looks like that is what he was doing. Enjoy and don't get creeped out.

I got up at about 4:30AM, drove 45 minutes in anticipation of an awesome foggy morning on the river, but neither turned out as expected. The mosquitoes were relentless though. I did manage to get these two guys fishing early in the morning on the Carlisle River. Enjoy.

While driving home from Kimball Farms last week, the sun was setting behind me and I saw this wetland area that looked like a nature preserve out of a magazine. The birds were flying around and the bugs were biting. Enjoy.

It's not the most beautiful of buildings, but without this 1967 built Dam, the Mystic River would still be a tidal river. I took this sunset photo where I hadn't intended on taking a photo of it. Thank you mother nature for the wonderful sky. Happy Fathers Day, Enjoy.

How can you say no to this Angelic face? My relative's daughter playing in the yard on Memorial Day. Enjoy.

Looks like Paul has been watching the Stanley Cup finals. HDR of the statue in the north end. Go Bruins!

I've found the best statue of liberty head shot for the new stamp. How could our US Postal service screw that one up so badly? Using the Vegas statue is inexcusable. Enjoy.

When I tell you I didn't see this spider the first time, I'm not kidding. This little guy is no bigger than a pencil point. I re-framed the photo so you could see him. Taken in my yard during last week's rainy season. His web was haphazardly constructed, but well placed. Enjoy.

Did you ever feel like it was one of those days when everyone was crapping on you. George M. Cohan has that feeling every day in Times Square. Enjoy.

This shot was a bit tricky. I was sharing the pavement w/ a homeless guy at night in order to shoot this up through this sculpture outside the office building on 57th & Lexington in NYC. I had to lay on the ground to make sure the lens had captured this on center. Enjoy.

This is another shot of Times Square taken as an HDR. The colors are amped up with this tonemapped image. The overload of colors and activity makes this processing seem appropriate.

The colors grabbed my eyes, the shoes looked great and when aligned just the right way, there is something soothing about this shot. You think I can remember the name of the shoe store? Enjoy.

This seemed like the right way to develop this photo of Times Square, which is a total sensory overload. Enjoy.

It looked like it was going to be a good night for some sunset pics. This one was taken from the Craddock Bridge in Medford Square looking over the Mystic River. Enjoy.

If you've ever waited and waited for a train to come, perhaps the train came, but you just didn't see it. This is a photo of a train that came but no one saw it but my camera. Enjoy.

I was wandering the mall a few days ago while the girls were shopping, so I grabbed some pics of people going up and down the escalator. It was all a blur to me. Enjoy.

I was out shooting some sunsets, and I happened by the train station so I saw the train coming, ran up the steps and grabbed this photo of the train sliding into the station. Enjoy.

I was just about to eat dinner the other day and as I walked by the stairs, I saw the sun casting some very interesting shadows and highlights on the railings and steps. Even though my dinner got cold, I got the shot. There is something about the warmth of wood and the aged, crackled finish that is compelling to me. Enjoy!

Yes, the first sign that spring is almost here. Although we are expecting a snowstorm of sorts on Friday. Ugghh. Saw this on the way to work today. Enjoy

It's been a few days since my last post, so I'll get right to it. As winter wanes, memories of a family spring break we spent in NYC a few years back that yielded some good pics. This shot was taken from Jersey City, NJ, just across the Hudson outside the Hyatt Hotel. Fortunately, the moon was rising at just the right time. Enjoy.

TIME is running down on my year as President of the Rotary Club here in Medford. It's gone by very fast and there is only 4 months left. This is a photo of the fours sided clock the Rotary donated to Medford Square about 10 years ago. We just did a refurbish on it and it looks even better at night when it's lit up. Enjoy.

OK, so we had one of those light fluffy 2" snowfalls last night and as I was heading into work, I had to stop and take some macro shots of the snowflakes as they came down. It was a bit tricky finding the good ones, but I did get a few. I liked how this one had a hexagonal attachment on the top. Enjoy.

West Medford train stop after the snowstorm. The train was pulling away from the stop and I purposely took the longer exposure to grab the streaking purple line. Enjoy.

After a recent snowstorm, I was out taking photos and saw these three benches that I've sat on during the summer, but they just didn't look very inviting on this night. Enjoy.

This is a different view of the bridge over the Aberjona River in Winchester center. Taken at night after a big snowstorm. I kept having to move my car so the snow plows didn't flip it in a snow bank. I like how the slushy snow just sits on top of the water. Makes you hungry for some strawberry syrup and a slush cone. Enjoy.

I've got more from Winchester center. This area is so pretty during a hot summer day, and just as beautiful after a snowstorm. Notice the church steeple in the top center. Enjoy.

On another post storm evening, I ventured out to Winchester Center. This little waterfalls is a popular spot for ducks and kids watching ducks in the summer. Not tonight, they must have taken the night off. Enjoy.

Here is a shot of the John Hand foot bridge across the Mystic River during the light (10") fluffy snowstorm of 2/1/11. Taken just outside my office on my patio. Notice the swan just passing under the bridge. Enjoy.

Another one of my rhythm's and patterns photos. This is a detail I thought was very cool I found on our cruise ship last summer. Oh, to be on a cruise and away from this snow right now would be great. Enjoy.

I posted the nighttime shot of the RT.16 Bridge over the Mystic River, here is the next day shot w/ the snow clinging to the trees. This is right behind my office and I've posted several variations of this shot at different times of the year. Enjoy.

Remember the scene in Bruce Almighty where Jim Carey lasoo's the moon and pulls it so close, it looks giant sized on the horizon. Well here it is. Taken with my 200 MM lens, 2X extender, on a steady tripod. Enjoy.

Yep, I almost slipped and fell into the Mystic River (again) on this one. I didn't see what was below the 16" of snow and took a dive. It's all worth it in photography right? Fortunately, no one saw me do it, so I'll never be embarrassed about it. Another 12" expected tomorrow. Enjoy..

It looks like we are going to get another 12 - 15" of snow on Thursday. Another photo opportunity perhaps? This is a shot of St. Joseph's Church here in Medford shortly after our last blizzard a two weeks ago. Lots of snow this year. Enjoy.

My wife bought herself some flowers the other day and I really liked this purple flower? Weed? in the bouquet. I can't tolerate the smell of flowers but it doesn't stop me from standing on the chair and taking a macro photo of this beautifully colored bouquet. Enjoy.

I took this photo on my photowalk the night of our recent blizzard. This is a three stop HDR image taken from the John Hand bridge looking towards Rt. 16. The heavy snowfall was casually resting on the Mystic River and weighing the tree limbs down. The sky still had some blue hues from the recent sunset. Enjoy.

The morning after the Blizzard of 2011 provided some great photo opportunities. Snow still clinging to everything on Governors Ave. makes for a beautiful sunrise photo. Enjoy.

This is the original Armory building in Medford, MA taken at night in the aftermath of the 2011 Blizzard. I thought this would be nice to give it an old fashioned black and white look /w some grain. Enjoy.

After we had the snowfall last week that was considered a Blizzard, I trudged out that night to capture some post storm photos of Medford Square. This is a view up Governors Ave. just after the snow plows went by. Enjoy.

Anticipating another 12 - 16" of snow on Wednesday, I thought I'd post something less winter-like in these summer flowers. You don't see those colors in the winter very often. Enjoy.

While doing some Rotary work, we were in a local production facility stuffing food baskets, and I found this unique ball bearing rolling cart. I believe it was used for sliding packages across the top at their shipping facility. Enjoy.

I took this photo in Costa Maya during a walk to the ruins. I found the beautiful green leaf and the vines on the tree created a nice contrast of textures and colors. Enjoy.

I know it's the day of the Rose Bowl, but this flower just hits you with stunning color. So I'm honoring flowers on this New Years Day. Enjoy
