Tranquil Merrimack River:
Posted on 11/15/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments
Most likely left in the aftermath of some spring rains along the Merrimack River in Haverhill, MA, I spotted these sister logs jutting up from the water in this tidal river. I walked so far down the bank, I almost got stranded as the tide was coming back in. The mucky muddy sandy banks were almost quicksand-like. The clouds were very cooperative that day. Enjoy
Old Saybrook Sunset

I snuck out of this wedding I was attending this past Saturday to grab this hand held HDR shot of the sunset over Old Saybrook, CT. The reception was under the tent and the "cottage" was right behind it. Long Island Sound is to the left. Great spot for a "summer home". Enjoy.
Spring has Sprung?

What the? It's the first day of spring, only 55
degrees at the beach here in Revere, MA, but this woman wanted to be the
first official beach goer of the year. A little nippy for a beach day,
but she's got the right idea. We have a short season up north. Enjoy.
Hot Flowers

As I burrowed myself in the hot sand - (pity me) I took
this photo of these beautiful flowers seemingly growing out of the very
dry sand. Amazing how they adapt to the dry climate. Taken on the
beautiful island of Roatan, off the coast of Honduras. One of the most
beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Enjoy.
Can't teach an old Dock new tricks

These three old dock posts were jutting out of the water on this otherwise pristine beach in Roatan, Honduras. Must have been an old shipping dock, but the tourists have killed it with their desire to keep the ships away from the beautiful beach. Enjoy.
Old Vocano's make Beautiful Islands

This old volcano sure makes a beautiful island. It's interesting volcanic rock plunges into the ocean and the vegetation grows out of the crevasses. This is Roatan, Honduras, with one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been on. More pics from here later. Enjoy.
Beachside view from Roatan

I won't be posting for several days so I'll leave you with this photo I took from the beautiful beach on Roatan, Honduras. Enjoy.

Flowers in the Sand
Posted on 10/16/2010 by Unknown | 0 comments
I literally crawled in the sand for this photo. I think the topless sunbather next to me was wondering if I was trying to get a shot of her "no tan lines" body. It was all about framing the photograph. In order to appreciate the beauty of the sand flowers ??, I wanted to get the sand crab perspective. Taken on Roatan Island, Honduras. Enjoy.
