Everglades, FL

Looks like the clouds are posing for this one.  It helps when you sit in the front seat of the airboat.  Enjoy.

Looking back to Boston from Castle Island.  Cool sunset looking across the inlet and past the electrical equipment.  Enjoy.

Electric Supermoon

Super awesome moon coming up behind the power plan in Everett, MA.  Photo taken on a tripod exposing for the moon.  The deep blue is how these golden hour photos come out.  Enjoy.

Marathon Sunset

This sunset had all kinds of action and as we cruised through the inter coastal near Lighthouse Point, we passed this Mobil station, with it's light glowing through the shadows.  Enjoy.

Pompano Beach FL, as the full moon was in it's glory over the Atlantic.  Enjoy

Thanks Mom.

Thanks Mother Nature.  While cruising the intercoastal at Lighthouse Point, FL. with some friends, the sky put on a spectacular show.  What a backdrop for the spectacular homes that line the waterfront.  Enjoy.

Symbiotic Harmony on High.

Posted on 4/01/2014 by Unknown | 1 comments

When I took this photo of the multiple steeples juxtaposed against the backdrop of mountaintop wind turbines, I felt like there was some sort of symbiotic relationship between the two going on.  On some weird level, the turbines help sustain and provide power to the town of Adams, MA, while the steeples sustain our faith in another power.

At first glance, I knew something was up in this photo, but it took some thought to conclude the importance of the old and the new working together.  Either that, or the town is so religious, they needed 5 Christian churches in what seems like a 5 block radius of each other.  I also thought it made for an interesting composition.  Enjoy.

Duck Trails on the Mystic:

You know it's cold when the Mystic River freezes over.  It takes a few nights around zero for this to happen.  I order to get the starburst effect on the sunset, you have to increase your F-stop to as high as it will go.  Enjoy.

Riding the Storm Out!

A gaggle of geese sleeping along the banks of the Mystic River in Medford, MA during the first snowstorm of 2014.

Took a 10 minute hike off the road in VT to see this little known place called Chesterfield Gorge State Wayside, VT.   Enjoy.

Last Gasp of Air

It's dropped about 20 degrees here in the last few days and I suspect that these flowers may have their last hurrah tonight.  Enjoy.

Forbidden Room

This shot, from an old home that will be demolished soon, caused an internal debate for me as I thought this may be best shown in black and white.  After an internal struggle that wasted way too much time, I realized the contrast between the cool blue hallway and warm light in the room, looked best in color.  When the paint falls off the door and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?  Enjoy.

Golden Boy

This dog is standing at attention awaiting his owner's next throw of a small pebble into the ocean.  Seemed pointless to me, but the dog loved the water fun.  Taken at Rockport, MA  Enjoy

Rockport Slip

Posted on 9/26/2013 by Unknown | 0 comments

I climbed down this rickety ships ladders at the harbor in Rockport, MA to get this down low shot of the famous red fishermans building.  I've seen and taken so many pics from the traditional viewport, that I wanted to try something new.  I love the patina on the dingy.  I also love that word, Dingy, dingy dingy.  One Ringy Dingy Two ringy dingy, remember that?

Clamming it UP!

I suspect this little boy was doing this at Newcastle Beach, MA.  Enjoy.

Flower Power

The impact of a rose placed in one of the names of the lives lost on 911 is powerful.  911 Memorial, NYC.

A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

Except, when it adorns the 911 Memorial, it takes on a whole new meaning.
