One World Trade Center Observatory images.

Posted on 10/24/2015 by Unknown | 0 comments

If you are in NYC and get the chance don't miss the trip to the new One World Trade Center Observatory.  It's worth the cost of admission.  The elevator ride up and down are the coolest elevator ride you'll ever experience.  Face the back of the elevator, because all of the elevator panels are video screens.  The surprise at the end of the video is awesome.  Enjoy.

Heavenly View on Sacred Ground

A view from the observation deck of One World Trade Center. Enjoy.

Flower Power

The impact of a rose placed in one of the names of the lives lost on 911 is powerful.  911 Memorial, NYC.

A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

Except, when it adorns the 911 Memorial, it takes on a whole new meaning.

Awesome view at the Rare View Bar

Posted on 8/29/2013 by Unknown | 0 comments

Awesome view from the Rare View bar atop the Hilton in the Fashion District of NYC.  We had some drinks there a few weekends ago.  The view is spectacular.  The lighted area to the left is overspill from Times Square.  Enjoy.

Big Italian Lambo in Little Italy

Posted on 8/28/2013 by Unknown | 0 comments

It's not every day you get to see a $425,000 car cruising the streets.  This guy was thrilled with the attention he got as he rolled into Little Italy in NYC recently. Note the irony.   This is a 50th Anniversary Lamborghini Aventador.  Enjoy.

A Narrows Miss Sunrise:

Posted on 9/12/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

The only place you can get this photo from is the top deck of a cruise ship as it passes under the Verazano Narrows Bridge at sunrise.  Coming back into port to Bayonne, NJ, our ship provided a spectacular vantage point to grab some sunrise over New York pics.  Timing is everything.  Enjoy.

Out of the Fog, a Tower rises

A simple prayer for the victims of the 9/11 attacks.  God bless their families. God bless our Country.

Central Park Utopia

Central Park last Fall. How is this possible it's in the middle of the greatest city in the world? Enjoy.

Reflections

Reflections of..... I love reflections, and glass buildings often provide some really great photographic opportunities. If you look close, you'll see the street lamp and street sign on fifth avenue in New York City. I was going to crop it out, but, ehh, left it in. Enjoy.

Patterns, Lines and Details

Posted on 11/04/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

Patterns, lines, and details "OH MY"! Throw in a little bokeh and you've got something. The architect in me comes out on this one. While walking around the "City", I was fixated on the cool detail of this wrought iron framework that's applied to the limestone of some swanky jewelry store on Madison Ave. in New York City. Don't forget to look for those converging lines, patterns and details. Architects spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about this stuff. They also work great in photographs. Enjoy.

More Central Park Beauty

Posted on 11/02/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

What more can you say?  It's Central Park.  The best city park on the planet.  The place is just beautiful all year round.  I just love the combination of nature juxtaposed against Architecture.  Amazingly, this was taken in late October this year and very few leaves are turning.  It almost looks like mid summer.  I was trying to frame the two high rise buildings w/ the branches, so it gave them a hat.  Enjoy.

Timeless Skyline

Posted on 11/01/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

A few years back, we were visiting the city and ended up staying in Jersey City, NJ.  This turned out to be advantageous for taking night shots of Manhattan.  This just felt better done in black and white and I think it gives it a timeless quality.  Enjoy.

Like a Rock- 30 Rock that is

Posted on 10/30/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

Whatchulookinat.  I don't know what she's looking at.  Perhaps the bra store across the street?  I can't say I remember who this was a statue of, but it's located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, overlooking the ice skating rink.  Yes, last weekend they were ice skating already.  Very cool.  We didn't ice skate, but it would have been fun in October.  Our recent snowfall makes it all seem right.  Back to the photo, I had to make this an HDR image because there was too much contrast going on.  Hand held as well.  Enjoy.

Giant Lips in NYC

Posted on 10/28/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

Have you seen the hanging sculpture in Central Park South in NYC? It's a collection of giant inner tubes that hang from a network of steel pipes. Looks like a collection of botox lips. I converted this into a black and white because, well, it just looks better that way. Enjoy.

Fall in Central Park

Posted on 10/27/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

So, we are walking around New York City and end up at the Park Plaza.  It's getting late in the day and Central Park is right there so we took a short walk around the lake.  It's a great time to cruise around Central Park, the colors are out, the people are out and the weather was awesome.  I don't know the name of this bridge or pond, but I love the Ivy spreading across and turning a deep red.  Enjoy.

NYC Cathedral

Posted on 10/26/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

We were visiting NYC last weekend and my daughter insisted we check out this church right down the street from 30 Rockefeller Ctr. I didn't have my tripod, so I rested my camera on a pew and did a 3 step HDR. I couldn't get in the middle of the church, so I had to make due with this angle. Enjoy.

Central Park Serenity

I crouched down near these flowers to frame the rowboats on the water at the pond in Central Park, NY. Enjoy.

Zodiac in NYC

Signs of the Zodiac in NYC. Sculpture can be found on the south end of Central Park. Enjoy.

I know, all you need is Love, la de da de da. I found this icon just up the street from our hotel. Enjoy.
