Church Chat

Posted on 10/16/2014 by Unknown | 0 comments

Thanks for the patience of my family to get this shot.  I had to sprint 100 yards up and down a steep hill, twice, to grab the right lens and then hope the shot was still there.  I didn't  even notice the kyak guy in the shot below the church.  Thanks buddy.  This was my favorite from the day.  Enjoy.

Fall White House

Posted on 10/13/2014 by Unknown | 0 comments

It's been a while since I've driven my family crazy with jumping out of the car and taking photos of every potential shot I see. I liked how this pond framed the white house at the end. Climbed down a bank, over a fence, saved a Turtle from an eminent highway disaster, and here it is. Yesterday, we had a leaf peeping drive up through southern NH. More to come. Enjoy.

Just Gorgeous

Took a 10 minute hike off the road in VT to see this little known place called Chesterfield Gorge State Wayside, VT.   Enjoy.

Last Gasp of Air

It's dropped about 20 degrees here in the last few days and I suspect that these flowers may have their last hurrah tonight.  Enjoy.

Central Park last Fall. How is this possible it's in the middle of the greatest city in the world? Enjoy.

Leaves a Fire

Posted on 11/17/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

How's this for a view outside my office? Add a little soft focus and warmth and the trees look like they are on fire. So sad the leaves are almost gone. The colors turned so erratically this fall, I had a hard time finding a bunch of trees turning color at the same time. Enjoy.

The Framing Branch

Posted on 11/15/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

When near a river, I'm always looking for branches to frame buildings, bridges, etc.   Fall is a great time of year to get the leaves to provide a color punch.  This is the Rt.16 Bridge over the Mystic River.  I kind of cheated, it's right outside my office.  I had to noodle my camera outside the fence and hold it against the rail to steady this hand held shot.  Enjoy.

Fall in Central Park

Posted on 10/27/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

So, we are walking around New York City and end up at the Park Plaza.  It's getting late in the day and Central Park is right there so we took a short walk around the lake.  It's a great time to cruise around Central Park, the colors are out, the people are out and the weather was awesome.  I don't know the name of this bridge or pond, but I love the Ivy spreading across and turning a deep red.  Enjoy.

Don't Forget to Look Down

Posted on 10/20/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

Don't forget to look down.  It's fall, and everyone talks about the trees, the trees and their beautiful colors.  Don't forget those colorful leaves end up on the ground and can create some beautiful colored displays.  These are a few shots I took this morning on my walk to work.  Even the base of the tree was coated in a rich green moss that extends to the root down the hill.  Enjoy.

Medford's Fall Colors

Posted on 10/20/2011 by Unknown | 0 comments

As I was walking to work, I was struck by the trees and how they seem to be changing colors in stages in front of the Medford Public Library.  I made it to work, grabbed my trusty 40D and walked back to snap a shot.  I had rained all night, the rain had stopped for a while and the clouds gave me a huge soft box to shoot into.  The colors really pop when it's cloudy out.  Hard to figure, but that's how it usually works.  Enjoy.
