As in Mother Nature for sure.  She left this sweet morsel of snow goodness on my back yard patio the other day.  Here for a minute, gone forever after the sun  rose.  Basketweave never looked so good.  Enjoy.

We didn't have any snow here in New England this year, so this is to remind us all that we still aren't out of the woods. All the lights gave this an orange hue, and I didn't like it, so I converted to B&W. I think I was standing in a 4' snow bank on this shot. Enjoy.

We finally had our first snow in New England. I wouldn't call it much of anything, but I thought I'd post this pic of the Mystic River from one of last year's snowstorms to get us in the mood for more. It's going to be 45 today, so it won't last long. Enjoy.

Just getting in the spirit of things this time of year brings me to this photo. I took this last year on the John Hand bridge in Medford, MA. This is adjacent to my offices which are off to the right. It was such a beautiful morning after a soft and thick overnight snowfall. Enjoy.

So really? This is "Sepia Saturday"? I'm really not with the program.  Anyway, this is a shot I took a couple of years ago post heavy snowstorm along the Mystic River. You can't see the river, it's to the right, but this is one of the railings that keeps you from falling in. I processed it then converted to B&W, and thought giving it the sepia treatment would do it justice. All done in Lightroom. Enjoy.

OK, so we had one of those light fluffy 2" snowfalls last night and as I was heading into work, I had to stop and take some macro shots of the snowflakes as they came down.  It was a bit tricky finding the good ones, but I did get a few.  I liked how this one had a hexagonal attachment on the top.  Enjoy.

After a recent snowstorm, I was out taking photos and saw these three benches that I've sat on during the summer, but they just didn't look very inviting on this night.  Enjoy.

Here is a shot of the John Hand foot bridge across the Mystic River during the light (10") fluffy snowstorm of 2/1/11.  Taken just outside my office on my patio.  Notice the swan just passing under the bridge.  Enjoy.

The morning after the Blizzard of 2011 provided some great photo opportunities.  Snow still clinging to everything on Governors Ave. makes for a beautiful sunrise photo.  Enjoy.

Winter Blizzard of 2010.  It was a huge storm, but we only got about 16" here in Medford, MA.  This photo begged to get the old fashioned treatment.  Enjoy.

It was unseasonably hot today in the upper 80's, so I thought I'd cool down and post up a winter time photo.  This is a photo of one of the entrances to Grace Episcopal Church here in Medford, MA.  This is one of the few buildings in Boston that was designed by famous Architect H. H. Richardson.  I believe I took this after the blizzard had passed and it was a beautiful night.  Enjoy.
