Boston Skyline summer sunset.  Taken handheld on a party boat, after some drinks perhaps.  Enjoy.

Sunset Sandwich

Building sandwich.  Looks like the sun is caught in a vice grip between these two buildings.

Custom Photo

Photo from last week of the Long Wharf Mariott and Custom House Tower in Boston, MA.  We went out for some twin lobsters and mother nature treated us with a sunset desert.  Enjoy

Sunset from Castle Island

Looking back to Boston from Castle Island.  Cool sunset looking across the inlet and past the electrical equipment.  Enjoy.

Faneuil Hall Cupola at dusk

Not much else to say but that I can get things done when the girls are shopping.

H.H., you were Da Man:

Trinity Church, perhaps H.H. Richardson's best known structure in America, stands proud next to the Boston Marathon finish line.  Here she sits at night looking good as ever.  Enjoy

These upside down Rubra Maxima appear to mock the natural way of growing upward.  Taken in Boston at the Old South Church.  Enjoy.

Moon over Boston

I grabbed this shot last fall during that giant moon.  Fortunately it slowly rose across the John Hancock Tower and headed towards the Prudential Center.  Enjoy.

Heads UP!

Posted on 10/02/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

Sitting in the back alley between buildings in Boston, and I looked up through the sunroof of my car to see this gently curving facade.  I'm not sure what building it was, but with no clouds in the sky, it looked very cool.  I positioned my self directly under the column and wrenched my neck to grab the shot.  Enjoy.

Tripodless Faneuil Hall:

Posted on 9/19/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

Yeah, I don't think that's a word, but when without a tripod, I jamb the camera against and in between railings all the time.  This shot of Quincy Market was an HDR shot between the railings on the second floor of the retail shops.  Enjoy.

Custom House Blue

Posted on 9/15/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

Handheld HDR taken just as the sun had set and the sky was a beautiful deep blue.  The Custom House Tower was saying "hey, photograph me with the Faneuil Hall Marketplace sign in the foreground to give me context and lots of people walking around to show activity.  That tower is so demanding.  Enjoy.

Custom House Tower through the trees at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.  This building just says "Boston"  Handheld of course

No Parking, No Problem

Typical Back Bay situation, no parking anywhere.  Easy solution, ride a bike and say "in your face" to those meter maids.  Enjoy.

Just can't beat those Curved Beams

Posted on 7/05/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

I never design curved beams because I know my clients would freak out at the cost.  This is the underside of the walkway that takes you over Storrow drive, so public project, no regard for costs, or maintenance for that matter.  The view is of the Charles river on a lazy Sunday.

Scooter reflection:

Posted on 7/03/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

The only reason I would take this shot is because of +Lotus Carroll and all her reflection selfie's.  It's all her fault.  I was in the middle of a photo walk class in Back Bay, Boston and saw this cool scooter and with the Back Bay reflected in the background, thought it was totally cool.  I tried hard to get a similar reflection in the front of the lens and put my knuckles in the sunlight so you'd see them.  This was fun.  Lotus, it's all your fault.  I suppose if I pee'd on the street, you could consider it a bathroomselfie. You have to be on Google+ to know who Lotus us.  Enjoy.

I'm King of the World!

Not quite Titanic. Actually, if you look closely, they all have safety harnesses around their waists.  This is a photo of the Colombian tall ship that sailed into Boston Harbor over the weekend.  I'll post an album later.  Enjoy.

Rust Bucket

Posted on 6/28/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

I was doing a photo walk in the Back Bay, Boston and stumbled upon this gem, rusting away, coated in tree junk, bondo and everything else.  I saw this one in a nice sepia tone, so there you go.  Enjoy.

Godzilla on the Harbor:

Posted on 6/14/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

If you squint, you'll see the insanely outrageous Godzilla cigarette boat hustling seasick passengers across the Boston Harbor.  The red/ yellow speedboat takes about 30 passengers on a wild and raucous ride around the Boston Harbor for tours all summer.  If you are ready to handle the vomit inducing ride, strap yourselves in and enjoy.

Drinking at Remy's Seaport:

Posted on 6/13/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

Settling in last Sunday afternoon for a drink or two at Jerry Remy's Seaport bar/ restaurant.  Great view of Boston Harbor and I happened to catch this clippership sail by the Hyatt Logan.  Inside the bar everything was very contrasty, so this made for a good silhouette photo of the people across the bar enjoying their libations.  Enjoy - because I sure did.

Images of a Ship Stair

Posted on 6/12/2012 by Unknown | 0 comments

I believe this is what the Architect had in mind when they designed the new stair at  the Legal Seafood's Boston on the Harbor.  This beautifully crafted stair takes you from the ground level to the third floor balcony overlooking the harbor.  It will be hopping this summer for sure.  Enjoy.
